Work boots With toe cap
A toe cap is an internal piece of a specialized shoe that sits between the top of the shoe and the lining.
What is a protective toe cap for? If your work or the work of your employees is associated with a high risk of industrial injuries, the risk of falling heavy objects or being crushed, you need specialized and certified footwear with the necessary protective elements and properties, including a toe cap.
There are 2 main types of protective toe caps: metal, composite.
Metal toes are made of steel and aluminum. They have a small volume due to their thin walls. Compared to a composite toe cap, metal has a greater weight (the weight of a pair is approximately 140-200 grams). This material does not imply the presence of perforation, thereby excluding the possibility of moisture removal.
Composite toe caps are available in fiberglass, carbon (CFRP), polycarbonate and PVC. Reinforced Kevlar threads can also be added to increase the strength of the product. A composite toe cap has a large wall thickness and takes up much more space than a metal one. But the weight of this material is less (the weight of a pair is approximately 100-120 grams). This type allows ventilation openings.
